The only drawback of fiberglass membranes is that they are more expensive. In order to improve its performance, a layer of topcoat, polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) can be added to the coating. This surface layer protects the fabric against UV erosion and improves its self-cleaning properties. 

    At present, there are many domestic manufacturers can produce PVC coated polyester fabric, but its performance has not yet fully meet the requirements of construction fabrics, as a permanent building materials still need to be further improved.
